Particularly, I would like to know how to simulate with makeup that you might find in an average home, the appearance of having an epicanthic fold (Asian eyes). I’d like to simulate an Asian skintone but I am afraid it might make me look particularly unwell, as I am light skinned and slightly ruddy complexioned. If I could manage the eyes, that would help the costume enormously! (My eyes are closest to hazel but in low light they look brown to black, so that part ought to be ok!) . My eyes are somewhat deep set, so I imagine it’ll take a lot of makeup! Thanks for any suggestions! To Latin Techie: the outfit I wish to wear is in a traditional Chinese style; I do not have the resources to find and put together the items for even a casual yukata kimono, so Chinese wins out over Japanese this year, unless I want to do anime style, and then I’d already have the proper eyes for it–just feel like turning Chinese for this Halloween! ms_rar: thanks for the advice!
